Emergency CasesDr. Bonface Makokha was appointed Principal Secretary for the State Department for Economic Planning in 2025 by Kenya President H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Makokha served in various high-level technical and advisory capacities within regional and international institutions, including the United Nations Office of the Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, and the Levy Mwanawasa Regional Centre for Democracy and Good Governance. His work has focused on strengthening governance systems, public-private partnerships, results-based planning, institutional reforms, and inclusive development policy across Eastern and Central Africa.
