Prof. Joseph Rudigi Rukema is a Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in the School of Social Sciences. He is also the Founder and President of Management Council of Sub-Saharan Africa University (Universite de l’Afrique Sub-Saharienne) in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Editor of Sub-Saharan Africa University Press, Associate Editor of Anthropology and Ethnology Open Access Journal (AEOAJ). He is also visiting scholar at five universities in Africa and Chandigarh University (India). His research areas include but not limited to Social entrepreneurship, Climate change and adaptation, Natural disaster (prevention, Management and social change), Conflict Resolution and Peace Building, Migration, Political violence, African indigenous knowledge systems, Rural development, Regional integration.
